The Sun spends a month in a sign; the Moon spends two or three days - it laps the zodiac thirteen times a year. That is why a “moon sign date table” cannot exist: on the same calendar date in different years the Moon stands in different signs. It takes an ephemeris calculation for the specific date and place. One subtlety: every few days the Moon crosses a sign border, and for births on such a day the sign stays uncertain without a birth time - the calculator above says so openly when that happens.
How often the Moon changes sign on a birthday - the number is 43.9%
“The Moon moves fast” is true and useless. Here is the same statement counted: every calendar day from 1960 to 2030 was checked to see whether the Moon crossed a sign border during it.

So the honest answer to “can I find my moon sign without a birth time” is: on roughly three dates in five, yes, and the calculator will tell you the sign outright. On the other two the day contains a border crossing, and the answer depends on whether you arrived in the morning or the evening - which is why this page asks for a time and shades the result when it matters.
It is also why the Moon is the only body in a chart where an hour changes the sign at all. Everything else moves slowly enough that a date is plenty: even Mercury, the next fastest, needs a month to cross what the Moon crosses in two days.
