A chain of three steps; every sum is reduced to 1–22 (above 22 — the digits are added):
- Arcana of the personal year = day of birth + month of birth + the current personal year (it starts on the birthday, not on January 1).
- Arcana of the month = arcana of the year + month number.
- Arcana of the day = arcana of the month + today’s date.

What is the arcana of the day today?
Everyone has their own: the day arcana is derived from the birth date and today’s date, so there is no shared “arcana of the day for everybody”. The calculator above finds the personal one for today — with an open formula.
When does the day arcana change?
At midnight local time: the calendar day is part of the formula, so a new day means a new arcana. This page takes “today” from the device clock, not from the server.
I got a heavy arcana — 13, 15 or 16. Is the day going to be bad?
No. Heavy arcana in a day are themes, not verdicts: 13 is a day of completions and renewal, 15 a day of honesty with one’s own desires, 16 a day when the shaky falls and clears space. Days like these often turn out the most useful ones.
Why does another calculator give a different day arcana?
Schools count differently: some run the chain from the calendar year, others from the personal one (from the birthday). Here the count starts from the personal year — the formula is open and can be checked by hand.
