What comes easily to Capricorn
Taurus and Virgo sit at a trine from Capricorn - 120°, and all three share one element (earth). Scorpio and Pisces sit at a sextile, 60°, in a different but friendly element (water). Both words are measurements. Neither says the relationship will be good; they say how much translating the two temperaments have to do.
Each pairing has its own reading:
- trine, 120° - they understand each other without words: ♉︎ Taurus, ♍︎ Virgo
- sextile, 60° - they help each other without being asked: ♏︎ Scorpio, ♓︎ Pisces
Where translation is needed
Aries and Libra form a square to Capricorn - 90°. Gemini and Leo form a quincunx, 150°. This is where the vocabulary does the most damage: "square" is routinely read as incompatible, when it describes two signs that want the same thing and go about it differently. Quincunx means they share neither element nor mode, so understanding has to be built rather than assumed.
- square, 90° - they rub each other, and that is what moves them: ♈︎ Aries, ♎︎ Libra
- quincunx, 150° - little in common, everything has to be said out loud: ♊︎ Gemini, ♌︎ Leo
Mirror, neighbours and the sign across
Conjunction is Capricorn with itself: instant recognition, and a shared blind spot, because the second pair of eyes is looking the same way. Sagittarius and Aquarius are the neighbours at a semisextile, 30° - a shared border and a different language. Cancer is across the wheel at 180°.
- conjunction, 0° - they see themselves in each other, blind spot included: ♑︎ Capricorn
- semisextile, 30° - next-door neighbours who speak different languages: ♐︎ Sagittarius, ♒︎ Aquarius
- opposition, 180° - the strongest pull on the whole wheel: ♋︎ Cancer
The axis of the sign
Half a circle from Capricorn is Cancer, and everything else rests on that axis: the structure built outside and the one built at home. Capricorn answers for results, Cancer for the state of things, and the pair only breaks when one of those jobs is declared optional.
How this is worked out - and why there are no percentages
Compatibility is a heavier word than what is being measured here. Signs sit 30° apart, so four steps make 120°, three make 90°, six make 180° - the aspect is arithmetic, not opinion, and it describes the negotiation, not the outcome. There is also a limit worth stating plainly: a sun sign is one detail of a chart. A real pairing is read from two whole charts, Moon, Venus, Mars and ascendant included.
A pair from full birth dates
A sign is one detail. In the app, Luna reads compatibility from two complete birth dates: three arcana for the pair, explained in her voice.
