August 1 zodiac sign: Leo, day arcana and character

Born on August 1

Two systems describe August 1. Astrology calls the date Leo; the destiny matrix calls it arcana 1 (The Magician) and 8 (Strength). You begin things in August, when half the country is away and nobody wants to decide anything, and that is precisely why it works. Leo does not wait for a convenient moment; the first arcana handles the start.

Where your strength is

You can start out of season. While the competition comes back in September, you already have it assembled, agreed and running, and getting into something already formed is much harder for them.

What comes harder

The eighth arcana holds August and helps you carry the new thing alone, so you carry it. By autumn you no longer need partners, and the project stays yours and only yours forever.

One thing to try

Let a second person into the August project before September. While it is still raw and easy to enter.

Frequently asked questions

How many arcana are there altogether?

Twenty-two major arcana. This page uses two of them, the ones drawn from the day and the month; the full calculation brings in the birth year as well and fills considerably more positions.

Does the year of birth change this?

The day and month arcana come from the day and month only, so everyone born on this date shares them. The year adds two more arcana, and those show up in the full reading.

What does month arcana 8 mean?

That one is Strength. Think of it as the setting rather than the character - the conditions you grew up inside and did not pick.

The destiny matrix is a language for self-reflection, not a prediction. The choices stay yours.
