January 2 zodiac sign: Capricorn, day arcana and character

Born on January 2

January 2 falls under Capricorn. Its matrix arcana are 2 (The High Priestess) for the day and 1 (The Magician) for the month. On the second of January the household is asleep and you are alone in the kitchen finally hearing your own thoughts. Capricorn values that empty day more than the celebration; the second arcana is the card of what becomes audible in silence.

Where your strength is

You can hear your own decisions. What you want and what is expected of you are distinguishable to you without help and without long conversations, which is rarer than it sounds.

What comes harder

You hold the quiet so long that the people closest to you learn your decisions last. It feels settled to you, and not one word of it has been said aloud.

One thing to try

Announce a decision you have already made internally within a day. Do not wait for the right conversation.

That one is The Magician. Think of it as the setting rather than the character - the conditions you grew up inside and did not pick.

How many arcana are there altogether?

Twenty-two major arcana. This page uses two of them, the ones drawn from the day and the month; the full calculation brings in the birth year as well and fills considerably more positions.
