January 31 zodiac sign: Aquarius, day arcana and character

Born on January 31

Day arcana for January 31 is 4 (The Emperor), not 31, because there are only twenty-two major arcana. The day number is added up digit by digit (3+1); the star sign is Aquarius and the month arcana 1 (The Magician). At the end of January you total up the month, though nobody asked and nobody needs it but you. Aquarius likes the mechanism of things; thirty-one folds to four, the card of the frame.

Where your strength is

You close periods properly. What you see is what actually got done rather than what it feels like, and so February does not get built on invented foundations.

What comes harder

Totalling up turns easily into a way of doing nothing for another month - the numbers, after all, are honest ones.

One thing to try

After the next tally, take one step straight out of it. Same day, while the conclusion is still warm.

Frequently asked questions

Does the year of birth change this?

The day and month arcana come from the day and month only, so everyone born on this date shares them. The year adds two more arcana, and those show up in the full reading.

Why is the day arcana 4 and not 31?

There are only twenty-two major arcana and 31 is past that. So the day number is added up digit by digit: 3+1 = 4, which makes the day arcana The Emperor.

Why does everyone born today get the same numbers?

Because this page shows two arcana out of twenty-two, and both come from the day and month. The differences start with the birth year: two people sharing a date but not a year end up with different full charts.
