May 8 zodiac sign: Taurus, day arcana and character

Born on May 8

Two systems describe May 8. Astrology calls the date Taurus; the destiny matrix calls it arcana 8 (Strength) and 5 (The Hierophant). You won an argument with an institution that everyone told you to drop: you wrote, you turned up, you repeated yourself, and a year later you got what you were owed. Taurus does not let go; the eighth arcana keeps you from shouting while not letting go.

Where your strength is

Long calm pressure is your method. You neither make scenes nor give up, you simply come back, and eventually it costs the system less to concede than to keep absorbing your evenness.

What comes harder

May asks you to tell what is worth holding onto. Sometimes the principle you have fought for all year is worth less than the year, and everyone can see that except you.

One thing to try

Add up what your current fight has cost in hours and set that against the prize, without having to decide today.

The numbers of this date

8 - Strength
5 - The Hierophant

The other twenty come from the full birth date.

Frequently asked questions

Why does everyone born today get the same numbers?

Because this page shows two arcana out of twenty-two, and both come from the day and month. The differences start with the birth year: two people sharing a date but not a year end up with different full charts.

What does month arcana 5 mean?

That one is The Hierophant. Think of it as the setting rather than the character - the conditions you grew up inside and did not pick.

How many arcana are there altogether?

Twenty-two major arcana. This page uses two of them, the ones drawn from the day and the month; the full calculation brings in the birth year as well and fills considerably more positions.

The destiny matrix is a language for self-reflection, not a prediction. The choices stay yours.
