Where Saturn sits in your chart
Your data carries over - Luna reads the chart aloud
A position is an address, not a story. What it means in your case, together with the rest of the chart, is what Luna reads: a full reading by voice, in plain words.
Read my chartSaturn on an ordinary day
This record needs a long look, because the unit here is years. List what you were doing ten years ago and cross off everything you have since dropped. Whatever is still standing - a skill, a standard you never lowered, a friendship that survived a bad season - was sitting in a Saturn area, because very little else lasts that long without being enjoyable. The other tell is the same thing seen from underneath: there is one subject where being quick has never once helped you, and that subject is where the planet is standing.
Saturn in Capricorn and the other eleven: the shape of the work
There is a version of you that shows up when something has gone badly wrong and there is nobody else to hand. Whether that version is patient, sarcastic, methodical or simply very quiet is a Saturn question, and the sign is where the tone comes from. Most people inherit it before they are ten and never think to change it. It can be changed.

gives the theme a timeline and then outlasts it
- ♒︎Aquarius

Saturn takes 2.4 years per sign, and 29 to come home
Saturn crosses a sign in 2.4 years and can hold one for three when it loops back; it spends 36.4% of the time retrograde. The number people actually feel is the full circuit: 29.3 years, which is why the “Saturn return” lands somewhere around a twenty-ninth birthday and again near fifty-eight. Nothing is scheduled to happen on the day. What the arithmetic promises is only that the same theme comes round again with a grown-up in the room this time.
Saturn by house: the corner of life you have to earn
Saturn in the seventh house has a reputation it does not deserve. What it actually does is make the first attempts at partnership expensive in effort, and then hand over a skill most people never develop: staying inside a difficult conversation without leaving the room. Whichever house it sits in is the subject you end up good at.

What gets misread about Saturn
English took two things from Saturn and both of them are moods: saturnine, meaning gloomy, and the tradition’s own greater malefic, which Victorian handbooks unpacked as restriction, delay and loss. Read those three words about your own chart and of course you go cold. None of them is a prediction. What they are describing, badly, is one mechanical fact: this is the area of a life where the result is proportional to elapsed time rather than to effort. You cannot push a Saturn subject harder and arrive sooner, which is genuinely frustrating and is not the same thing as being punished. The second misreading follows straight out of the first. Because progress here is slow, people mark the Saturn area down as their weak one and quietly route around it for twenty years - a shame, because slow is what something built to last looks like from the inside, and the parts of a life that arrived easily are rarely the parts anybody is grateful for later.
Saturn and the inner critic: where the line runs
Listen to what the voice actually says. “You are not good enough for this” is not Saturn, that is an old recording playing. Saturn says something duller: the middle section drags and you already knew it did. One of them leaves you on the sofa reading about other people’s careers. The other has you back at the desk within the hour, mildly annoyed, doing the boring pass again - and annoyance you can work with is the tell.
When Saturn is working at full strength
Saturn improves when the task is made smaller than feels respectable. Halve it, then halve it again, until what is left is genuinely too easy to skip: that is the size this planet works at, and pride is what stops most people getting there. The second thing it wants is a witness who is not impressed - somebody who notices when you did not turn up and says nothing at all when you did.

Questions about Saturn
What is Saturn in charge of in a natal chart?
Time and craft. Saturn holds the subject that has to be earned in sequence, and what it hands back is competence - this is the growth assignment of a chart, never a verdict on it.
Calculating the positions is astronomy; interpreting them is a symbolic system for self-reflection, not science.
One planet is part of the picture
Luna treats Saturn as the place a skill gets built rather than the place life goes wrong, and shows what has already been earned there without anybody noticing.
