What drives the Sun in Gemini

First a link. Then a question. Then the tangent that turns out to be the actual point. A Gemini Sun runs on material worth passing on, and an empty day leaves it with nothing to hand anybody. Failure at least makes a story; boredom makes nothing at all.

Deadlocks rarely survive contact - the question gets rephrased until there is nothing left to fight about, and the room realises it agreed twenty minutes ago. And the person nobody could find, the one who still repairs that specific machine, turns up by evening through three contacts this Sun did not have yesterday.
