The 11th house in the group chat

The person who once pulled you into a project and changed the decade. A list of goals written in January and found again in July. A running club, a forum, a guild - anywhere you were taken in for what interests you rather than what you do for money. A group chat that has outlived two jobs is eleventh house territory.

The 11th house is not a popularity score

The eleventh came down to us as the house of friends and hopes, and both halves of that phrase misdirect. Friends invites counting, and headcount is the least interesting thing in the sector: what the eleventh asks is who you count as yours and what you are all facing towards, so four people who share a direction are more eleventh house than a contact list of nine hundred. Hopes undersells the other half badly, because nothing here is wishing. What sits in this sector is the part of a plan that already has other people’s time inside it, which is also the part that decides whether the plan is still alive next spring.

Planets in the 11th, or an 11th with none

That is a middling swing — enough that “the 11th house is a twelfth of the chart” is a useful simplification rather than a fact, and enough that a planet sitting right on the cusp deserves a second look at your birth certificate.
