Agate landed on Gemini through the most honest logic the tradition has — likeness of character. It is a layered stone: dozens of bands, each a slightly different colour. Astrological schools read in it a portrait of Mercury's sign — many-sided, quick, living several interests at once. And agate comes in dozens of varieties, from blue to moss: a stone with as many faces as Gemini itself.
An honest frame: agate will not make you more sociable and will not “improve your connections” — no stone can. It works as a symbol and a reminder: a small anchor that says “all my sides are still me”. For a sign forever accused of inconstancy, that is the most precise reminder there is.
And a pleasant bonus: the main Gemini stone is one of the most affordable in nature. The tradition does not measure stones by price — a banded slice that costs next to nothing carries exactly the same meaning as an expensive cut gem in a shop window.
